Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy, or endodontic treatment, is done to treat a tooth that has become infected due to decay or trauma. The infection and diseased nerve tissue is cleaned out from within the inner canal(s) of the tooth. Once the tooth has been disinfected the canal system is sealed up with a biocompatable sealer. Root canal therapy allows patients to maintain their teeth even if the tooth has sustained injury or decay.
